Gedu College Marathon 2026: Run for Health! On April 25, 2026, the GCBS campus was buzzing with energy as students and staff took to the pavement for our annual marathon! It was an incredible display of grit, sportsmanship, and community spirit. From record-breaking sprints to determined finishes, the day was a massive success for the entire Gedu community. 🏆 Celebrating Our Champions In the Staff (Male) category, Damphal Dorji (Record Officer) secured 1st place with an impressive time of 1:10:40, followed by Rinzin Chophel in 2nd and Tshering Drukpa in 3rd. For the Staff (Female) category, Sonam Yeshey took the top spot with a time of 2:27:00, with Ruth Biswa Karma coming in 2nd at 2:28:00. The student competition was equally fierce! For the Boys, Thinley Namgyal (2nd BMDC) clinched 1st place in 1:26:32, while Pema Tenzin (1st BHCM) took 2nd at 1:32:48, and Tenzin Namgay (2nd BMDC) finished 3rd with a time of 1:32:34. In the Girls category, Kuenzang Choki (1st BMDC A) led the pack for 1st place at 1:38:44, followed by Ugyen Wangmo (OP ACT) in 2nd at 1:39:28, and Kezang Choden (2nd BFE B) securing 3rd with 1:35:41. ❤️ A Heartfelt Thank You This event wouldn’t have been possible without the dedicated support of our community partners and organizers.
