[Episode 281] #Travel #CamperVan #Corgi Filmed: May 6, 2026 In this video, I show the current state of the "Okunoto" region—two years and four months after the January 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake and one year and seven months after the torrential rains that struck the area in September of the same year. National Route 249, which circles the Noto Peninsula, sustained massive damage between Wajima City and Suzu City; however, thanks to emergency restoration efforts—including assistance from the national government stepping in to handle the work—the road is now open to general traffic. Full restoration is scheduled for completion around the spring of 2029. I would like to share with you the current reality of Okunoto, a region that suffered the double blow of both an earthquake and torrential rains.
