The viewfinder presents a lone figure, sitting upright in a relaxed stance, staring at a violet sky as the yellow haze of chemical smoke rises in the air. The wind is weak but persistent, carrying clouds of mineral dust in the air. Fragments of broken pylons lie half-buried in the ground, the metal frames corroded. In the far distant field, a skeletal refinery tower looms exhaling amber fumes. The bellowing roar of relentless grinding machinery echoes in the otherwise silent scene. The lone figure's crestfallen gaze remains fixed upon the sky. //LOG TERMINATED [Laine's Blog: Dear voidlings, I have composed another song to feed you. I tried a slightly different vibe this time. I suppose this style is still technically post-rock/shoegaze, but I incorporated more synthesizers and electronic elements. I also had fun with side-chaining the instruments to the kick drums, which is a classic EDM technique, so there's some hints of dance music there. The video artwork is a concept art of my original character, Zaleri, the mysterious captain and head librarian of the Falzchen ship. She is the one Sho and the laine dolls call "Father". This is artwork of her original human form before she lost her body, wearing her Knight Gravesuit (eventually became the basis for the lainedoll prototype) when she was a member of Peacebringer Sartoria's AEON-GUARD. She is infamously called by her detractors as a "Machine Lich", as she artifically extends her life by transferring her memories into machine vessels (the proto-type for what eventually became the lainedolls). However, immortality is not a solved concept in my universe, and the trade-off for her "eternal" life is by having to reintegrate her memories into a machine doll body, where her memory eventually shatters. Everytime Zaleri has to replace her body, her original memory gets more corrupted each time.
