👉 Did you know that Curitiba holds a 16th-century monument — and almost no one knows its true history? 👉 Check out the schedule of guided tours where I tell the story of Curitiba through the city streets this month by accessing the website below: https://rogeriobealpino.com/ 📌 Also watch: full video about Curitiba's Zero Milestone:    • Entenda detalhes do MARCO ZERO DE CURITIBA...   __ 📍 Do you know the Portuguese Crown's Possession Marker in Curitiba? In this video, Professor Rogério Bealpino analyzes in depth one of the oldest and least known monuments in the history of Curitiba and the city's historical heritage: the so-called Portuguese Crown's Possession Marker, located in Tiradentes Square. Despite being there for decades — and its origin dating back to the 16th century — this monument still raises questions among historians and researchers. Ultimately, is it a Ground Zero? A marker of ownership? A symbol of the village's founding? Or all of the above at once? 🤔 In this content, you will understand: ✔️ What the Portuguese Crown's Possession Marker is (and what it is not) ✔️ The differences between it and the Zero Milestone of Curitiba ✔️ The research of Cassiana Lacerda, Gehad Hajar and Hamilton Sampaio ✔️ The monument's relationship with Paranaguá and the history of Paraná ✔️ The meaning of the commemorative plaques of 1943 and 1994 ✔️ Where the original stone is today and why it was removed from Tiradentes Square ✔️ The importance of heritage education for the preservation of the historical center This video is part of the independent heritage education work developed by Rogério Bealpino, both here on YouTube and in the field trips, which take the public to see, in situ, the monuments, streets and characters that built the history of Curitiba. 💬 Comment if you already knew about this monument or if you had any other interpretation of it. Your comment helps to broaden the debate and collectively build knowledge about our historical heritage. 📌 Also watch: full video about the Marco Zero of Curitiba (link at the end). __ 👉 Rogério Bealpino I have been a heritage educator and art educator in Curitiba for over 20 years, carrying out intensive work disseminating the history of Curitiba through social media and through guided tours on various routes in the city.
