Carson River Overland - Day 1 :: Barney Riley Trail [A GX470 Story]

Hey guys, I recently had the opportunity to go on a 3 day overland adventure with 3 of my oldest friends to the Carson River area in California and Nevada at the end of April 2023. Our rigs include a 1994 80 Series Toyota Land Cruiser, a 1996 80 Series Lexus Land Cruiser, a 1987 Suzuki Samurai, and a 2004 Lexus GX470. We had a GREAT time but the trail definitely through us some curve balls. From break downs to 4 wheeling through Rocks, Creeks, Ruts, Mud and Deep Creeks, the Barney Riley Trail has it all. Camped next to Bryant Creek on night 1, we enjoyed some incredible camp cooking which resulted in amazing Carnitas Tacos! Day 1 did not disappoint. The next 2 days were just as adventurous.
