4 wheeling into a secluded lakeside camp in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, I drove my Lexus GX470 with my daughter as copilot while my friend followed in his Suzuki Samurai. We set up a remote base camp by the lake, explored the surrounding area in our 4WD rigs, and enjoyed a campfire, camp cooking, epic drone footage, and a surprise visit from a friend in his FJ Cruiser. From the drive in through forest trails to lakeside relaxation, this overland adventure had it all—beautiful scenery, great food, off-road exploration, and good friends.
