David's friend, Jonathan, heard this from his own father. However, he helped David by telling him about the plan. He defended David in front of his father so that Saul gave up his plans and David was reinstated in Saul's family. However, after David won the battle, when David played his harp, Saul's hatred rose again so that Saul tried to kill David again (1-10). And Michal, David's wife told him to flee at night. So, when Saul sent men to arrest David, they did not find him (11-17). It can be seen that God's protection was very real for David in the midst of Saul's threats, as well as the loyalty of the people around him, where Jonathan and Michal became God's tools to save David. The plan of man, Saul, to get rid of David could not defeat God's plan to place David as king. God is sovereign over human plans. Even though Saul repeatedly tried to kill David, God demonstrated His power by thwarting his plans. God is faithful to protect the people He chooses, even though humans try to destroy them. The loyalty of friends and the power of God are proof that God's plan will definitely be carried out. We are reminded that we are definitely loved, protected and cared for by God. If there is hatred directed at us or there are attempts by people who want to harm us, there are always people chosen by God who will help us. So, let us appreciate and listen to them so that through them God's inclusion reaches us. And like Jonathan, Michal, and Samuel, let us also be willing to be channels of God's love for others.
