【飛龍山】都内から日帰りで行ける奥秩父の名峰

This time, I climbed Mt. Hiryu, located on the main ridge of Okuchichibu. According to the official Tanbayama Village website, Mt. Hiryu has a triangulation point elevation of 2,069.1m, making it higher than Mt. Kumotori, the highest peak in Tokyo. Despite this, it's not as well-known as Mt. Kumotori, and it's a "hidden gem" where you can enjoy a quiet forest, a long ridge walk, and the deep mountain atmosphere characteristic of Okuchichibu. The hiking trail was longer than I expected, and physically quite challenging. On the other hand, the views from around Maehiryu and the atmosphere of the deep forests of Okuchichibu were breathtaking.
