【雲取山】鴨沢登山口から日帰り登山（日本百名山かつ東京最高峰）2025/09/28

I went on a day hike to Mount Kumotori, Tokyo's highest peak at 2,017m above sea level. While easily accessible from the Tokyo metropolitan area and one of Japan's 100 famous mountains, this was a wonderful route, offering quiet forest walks and magnificent views from the ridge. Starting from the Kamozawa trailhead, we reached the summit in about three hours, taking in breaks along the way. Gazing down at the Kanto cityscape below and Mount Fuji in the distance (faintly), it was a truly fulfilling hike. As we descended, dusk approached, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful forest bathed in the soft autumn light.
