CASCADES D'OUZOUD - TANAGHMEILT - MAROC

Ouzoud Waterfalls - Tanaghmeilt - Morocco Duration: 02h30 We left early in the morning towards the waterfalls. There is a path that leaves in front of the Hotel de France and leads to the top of the waterfalls. It must be said that the stunts are really impressive. They rise to more than 110 m in height and they flow in three levels in a pool located in an exceptional natural environment. To the right of the waterfalls, there is a walk which allows to have an impregnable view on these. Continuing our path on this walk, it leads us to a path in the forest that leads along the river. So we decided to walk this path. As soon as we arrived, several monkeys headed towards us. We just watched them. They are so cute! The trail is well marked. I would say that it is relatively easy to leave alone, without any guide. During our walk, we discovered that there were several campsites on the site. When we arrived at the edge of the river, we were pleasantly surprised by the natural scenery. The river is made up of many waterfalls just as beautiful as the others. Several small restaurants are erected all along this river. Only small flat. Sometimes you have to cross the river on rather precarious pedestrian bridges. The path then abandons the edge of the river and goes back into the forest. We arrived at a place on the path where a locked door blocked the passage. We thought we had to turn back, but fortunately a security guard was around and he opened the door for us to continue our hike. The trail leads us to a belvedere which allows to have a sensational view of the whole site. It's really an enchanting site! We are almost alone on the site to enjoy the serenity of this natural environment of extreme beauty. To return to our starting point which is at the top of the waterfalls, we had to climb a staircase with several steps. Shortly before reaching the summit, a terrace was erected to allow the observation of waterfalls and the site in general. If you like to hike in nature, this is the ideal site to do it.
