In this video, I head to a rural village just outside Pokhara, Nepal, with one simple goal: buy a goat and turn it into a feast for the entire village. The challenge begins with finding the right goat. With the help of some local villagers, I negotiate the purchase of a male goat weighing over 20kg, enough to feed around 30 people. Once the deal is done, we take the goat up to the picnic site, where the whole village gets involved in preparing the food. Throughout the day, I get a fascinating insight into local village life and food culture. Together, we prepare traditional Nepali dishes including butwa, made from the goat's innards, and a delicious goat curry served with rice. One thing that really stood out to me was how every part of the animal is used, something that's very different from what I'm used to back home.
