I Made a Western-Inspired Crossbody Bag/ Saddle & Bridle Style Sewing Tutorial

Howdy Sew & Sews and welcome to my channel! (Finished dimensions of bag: 13 inches high, 11 inches wide and 3 inches deep) I've been binge watching Yellowstone and Dutton Ranch so I've been inspired to make a western style bag, I'm calling The Ranch Bag. If you're sewing on a domestic machine then think about using a soft faux suede or faux leather or even a waxed cotton canvas would look amazing in this style if you're not comfortable with vinyl or suede. I suggest you watch at least the first segment first to see the pattern pieces so you're comfortable cutting yours out. There's one pattern piece to download for the side connector tabs and the rest is just rectangles. Exterior Pieces (faux suede, leather or waxed cotton canvas. No interfacing for the outside pieces. Main exterior pieces: 15 inches high x 14 inches wide (cut 2) . If you're going to patchwork yours then cut them out a few inches larger each way to allow for the seam allowance (just watch the first bit and you'll see what I mean) Straps: 28 x 2 inches (cut 1) 24 x 2 inches (cut 2) Front tab: 4 x 8 1/2 inches (cut 2) Tassels: 28 x 2 inches then cut into 1/4 wide strips lengthways Strap Connector Tabs: cut 2 from pattern piece Lining pieces (quilting cotton or similar light weight cotton, all interfaced with a light iron on interfacing) Main lining pieces: 15 inches high x 14 inches wide (cut 2). Interfaced with light iron on interfacing. Slip pocket: 13 inches high x 10 inches wide (cut 1). Interfaced with light iron on interfacing. Zipper tab: 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches (cut 1). Interfaced with a light iron on interfacing. Internal zipper pocket pieces: 12 inches high x 11 1/2 inches wide (cut 4). Interfaced with light iron on interfacing. Mark on the back of your fabric which is the 12 inch side and which is the 11 1/2 inch side so you don't get mixed up. Hardware: 4 x 1 inch rectangle rings 13 inches of zipper tape 1/2 wide double sided tape 8 x 8 rivets (around 17 of them) Front accent item (skull head) Have fun!
