The Purpose Series| The Gifts He Gave| Ephesians 4:11

We made it to verse 11. 🙌🏾 This is the verse that started this entire series and I am so glad we did not rush here. Because everything we have covered in Ephesians 4 up to this point has been building to this moment. The descent. The ascent. The filling. And now, the giving. 📖✨ Ephesians 4:11 reveals that the ascended Jesus, the one with all power and all dominion, gave gifted leaders to the church. Apostles. Prophets. Evangelists. Pastors. Teachers. All five. Together. On purpose. 👑 In this teaching we are unpacking why all five are necessary, why we cannot pick and choose which ones we endorse, and why the gifts Jesus gave to the church are still very much active and needed today. 🔥 We are also going to look at something that I find deeply powerful. Everything Jesus gave, He first modeled. He was all five in the earth. So when He gave these gifts to the church, He was not giving something foreign. He was giving something He had already demonstrated. 🕊️ And if the sending of the Holy Spirit was not just for that time, why would the gifts be? There is a lot of confusion, fear, and tension around the five fold ministry. That is exactly why we took our time getting here. My prayer is that this teaching brings clarity, not controversy, and that it deepens your understanding of what Jesus intentionally gave to His church.
