The Purpose Series| The Real Reason | Ephesians 4:12

Last week we unpacked verse 11 and the five-fold ministry. This week we find out why. 🙌🏾 Ephesians 4:12 reveals the purpose behind every gifted leader Jesus appointed to the church. It was never just about the title or the office. It was always about the people. The saints. The body. Every apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher was given with one intention in mind. To fully equip, to perfect, and to build up the body of Christ. 👑 Fully. Not partially. 🔥 That word perfect in the Greek carries the idea of restoring something to its original condition. Like a broken bone being set and mended. Like a member of the body finally functioning the way it was always designed to. That is what the five fold ministry is supposed to produce in the lives of God's people. Recovered wholeness. Discovered function. 🕊️ In this teaching we are going to look at what it truly means to be equipped, what the work of ministry actually is, and why all five gifts working together are not optional. They are necessary. Just like your primary physician is not the only doctor responsible for your health, no single office alone can bring the fullness of what the body of Christ needs. 📚 I have personally grown in spaces where all five were not present. But I have also experienced houses where all five were in full operation. And I can tell you from experience, there is a difference. 💛 This is part of the Purpose Series.
