As a woman of color, Iman noticed a lack of diversity in the beauty industry and felt that women of all skin tones and ethnicities deserved to have access to high-quality cosmetics that catered to their specific needs. Iman recognized that the beauty standards in the industry were predominantly focused on Eurocentric features and did not accurately represent the diversity of women around the world. She set out to create a makeup line that would empower and embrace women of all ethnicities and skin tones. Thus, IMAN Cosmetics was born as a brand that celebrates diversity and inclusivity in beauty. Iman’s mission was to create a makeup line that would cater to the unique needs of women of color, while also emphasizing the importance of self-expression, confidence, and individuality. The brand’s commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and social responsibility has cemented its place as a leader in the beauty world.
