London bus route 301 has been operated by Arriva since it began running. These include ADL Enviro400s from 2011, 2013 and 2015, Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 Hybrids from 2011 to 2013, Two diesel Gemini 2s from 2012, And Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 Hybrids from 2017. Stagecoach will use ADL Enviro400EVs and StreetDeck Electroliners on the 301. The 301's upcoming Enviro400EVs have been transferred from Bromley (TB) garage. Instead of running from Arriva's Dartford (DT) garage, The 301 will run from Stagecoach's Plumstead (PD) garage, located near the Woolwich end of the route. Route 301 runs between Woolwich and Bexleyheath Shopping Centre, in southeast London. The route was created to better connect Bexleyheath and the surrounding areas with the Elizabeth Line. The 301 serves Woolwich, Plumstead, Thamesmead, Abbey Wood and Bexleyheath. The 301 runs as frequently as every 10 minutes during peak times. And every 12 to 15 minutes on off-peak hours on all days of the week. As well as changing operators, the 301's hours of operation will be extended. The 301's first buses will depart Bexleyheath at 0530 instead of 0635 on Mon-Sat mornings. The first buses in both directions will now leave at 0630 instead of 0730 on Sundays. And towards Woolwich at 0630 instead of 0730 on Sunday mornings. Buses will continue to start at 0540 towards Woolwich on Monday to Saturdays. There will be no change to the frequency of buses. The 301 is the ninth route Dartford (DT) garage have stopped operating this decade. Routes 469 and B12 passed from Arriva to Go-Ahead in January 2021. With routes 160 and 660 passing to Stagecoach in September the same year. In January 2023, the B13 was lost to Go-Ahead. With routes 99, 269 and 401 being lost by Arriva in 2025. Route B15 then transferred to Go-Ahead in January of this year. The 301 is one of London's newest bus routes, starting in 2019. The 301's main purpose is to directly link Abbey Wood Elizabeth Line station with Bexleyheath. The route is also the only bus route to serve Nathan Way, between Thamesmead and Plumstead. The 301 is one of the only double deck TfL routes with a Hail & Ride section. The route has two H&R sections on Brampton Road and Long Lane. On these sections, buses stop on request at marked/unmarket H&R stops. The 301 is around 8 miles (12km) long. A full journey on the route can take 30 to 45 minutes. Route 301 serves Woolwich Station (for Woolwich Town Centre), Plumstead Bus Garage for Plumstead Station and High Street, Industrial areas around Nathan Way, Central Way (Thamesmead), Thamesmead Town Centre (Watersmeet Place), Gallions Reach Health Centre, Hawksmoor School, Carlyle Road, Southmere Lake, Harrow Manorway, Abbey Wood Station, Abbey Wood Road, New Road, Brampton Road, Long Lane, Heversham Road and Bexleyheath Town Centre. The 301 connects to several rail lines, including... The Elizabeth Line at Woolwich and Abbey Wood, National Rail (Southeastern and Thameslink) at Woolwich Arsenal, Plumstead and Abbey Wood, And the Docklands Light Railway at Woolwich Arsenal. The 301 connects to two Superloop express bus routes - the SL3 and SL11. Connections to the SL11 are available at Woolwich Station, Plumstead Bus Garage, Thamesmead (Grasshaven Way), Thamesmead Town Centre (Watersmeet Close), Thamesmead (Carlyle Road) and Abbey Wood Station (Harrow Manorway).
