One of the most important topics in the methodology of hadith studies is the concept of rejected hadiths, which are crucial for understanding the flaws that prevent the acceptance of a narration. This lesson systematically examines the two main categories of rejected hadiths: weak hadiths and fabricated hadiths. The video first explains the reasons why weak hadiths arise; focusing particularly on types considered weak due to the omission of a narrator in the chain of transmission, such as muallaq, mursal, mu'dal, munqati, mudallas, and mursal-i hafi. Following this, types considered weak due to flaws in the narrator—matruk, munkar, shadh, mu'allal, mudraj, maklub, muztarib, musahhaf, and mubham—are introduced. The second part of the lesson examines fabricated hadiths, that is, narrations attributed to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) but which are not actually his. This video explains the ruling on fabricated hadiths, ways of recognizing them, reasons for fabrication, and methods of fabrication in a simple yet academic framework.
