Session #5: “The Church as Family” Speaker: Hanley Liu While biological families are important, the church is called to be a spiritual family where believers find belonging, support, and love, especially in light of the fact that the early church functioned as a family in the New Testament. Hanley Liu will unpack the biblical concept of the church as our second family, emphasizing how brothers and sisters in Christ can provide support, accountability, and encouragement when our biological families fall short. Pastors and church leaders will be encouraged to cultivate a culture of “family” within their congregations, ensuring that no one in the body of Christ walks alone.
