Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS) - Seeing more when seeing less

The Choroideremia Research Foundation's Director of Operations Beth Foss facilitates a presentation by Jasleen Kaur Jolly, DPhil MSc FCOptom on Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS). CBS is the presence of visual hallucinations secondary to vision loss. They occur in 30-50% of people with vision loss and are a perfectly normal part of the vision loss journey but can be scary when unexpected or unknown. This talk gives some background about CBS, the efforts being made to understand it, and educating doctors about it so patients can be warned. CBS can occur at different times in the patient journey and being supported is one of the most effective treatment strategies so talking openly about this is absolutely critical.
