Free bus passes for asylum seekers? Feat. Tim Montgomerie & Bobby Seagull | Storm Huntley

Oxfordshire County Council has teamed up with a local asylum charity and bus companies to provide free travel for asylum seekers living in Oxford. They say it will help them get to appointments and build confidence through being able to use the transport system. They also say it'll help them get a job once they're allowed to work. Other passengers have to pay up to 4-pounds 50 a day to use the bus. At the moment, asylum seekers get less than 50-pounds a week from the government to help with food, toiletries, clothes and travel... and less than 9-pounds if they're living in a hotel where their meals are provided.
