Bailed from the forest for a safer moors pitch. 65+ kmph winds. Kuiu Mountain Star. Northumberland.

I hadn't planned on making a vid on this outing - but I'd popped the camera on a few times because the day was that moody and windy. I'd fancied a quiet relaxing forest camp again with the firepit....I'd checked the Met for wind direction and had decided where to head to. But the winds changed drastically to the point where it didn't feel safe, so after an hour of deliberation I decided to bail from the forest and head back to the Lingo.....then I spotted this moorland pitch...and you know me lol...tents oot!! First time I've tested the Kuiu 'Mountain Star' in strong winds like that & it did me proud. It weighs 1.5kg and I only had 14 pegs with me....and those gusts got up to 65+ kmph overnight according to the Met and I'd agree with that number.
