¿Fumar es pecado? Lo que dice la Iglesia | El Hansultorio
Is smoking a sin? Can a Catholic smoke without committing mortal sin? In this video, I answer based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Catholic morality, and the virtue of temperance, distinguishing between use, abuse, addiction, venial sin, and mortal sin. The Church doesn't teach that every cigarette automatically sends you to hell, but neither does it say that tobacco, vaping, or hookahs are morally indifferent. Tobacco abuse can affect health, inner freedom, family finances, harm to others, and one's responsibility before God. That's why it's necessary to answer without rigidity, without resorting to TikTok-style platitudes. In this video, we discuss what the Church actually says about smoking, when venial sin can occur, in what specific cases it could lead to mortal sin, how addiction influences culpability, what happens with secondhand smoke, and how all of this applies to vaping, e-cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and hookahs.
