A career as a lighting designer requires not only good eyes but also good ears. This is especially true in Franck Evin's case. He is head of the lighting department at the Komische Oper in Berlin. For him, the music, not the technical side, is the starting point for his lighting concepts. His team comprises 20 employees, who handle equipment worth several hundred thousand euros every day.
