It was supposed to be a transfer stage on asphalt, or so I thought. Google Maps suggested this route with great certainty, besides apparently being the only sensible one to take, to reach Pointe-Noiré in Brazzaville. For once, I didn't bother checking with satellite navigation, and I found myself traveling 150km on one of the most difficult and disastrous roads I've ever ridden. Mud, crevasses, trails as wide as the bike, remote villages... All under the threat of an impending storm.
