Basic fire prep with a full tang Roselli
While not necessary batoning is a good way to test durability and edge retention on a knife. So as a KOTM task I bust up a bit of wood for either the fire pit in the summer or the wood heater in the winter. This is basically the way to make a "1 stick fire" it it processed down all the way with a knife or hatchet to the point you have all the prep including curls to take a spark from a ferro rod. Good skill to know. As well asknowingwhatyour tool can do if needed.
