Can you breakdown endometriosis scar tissue?

Can you breakdown scar tissue with serrapeptase? Every woman with endometriosis wants to know if there’s a way to manage adhesions without surgery. When scar tissue has fully matured, it’s pretty much permanent. The only known treatment to completely remove adhesions is surgery. However, there are ways to MANAGE scar tissue (in terms of density and mobility). Methods include scar tissue massage and theoretically - supplements like serrapeptase. Serrapeptase is a protein digesting enzyme which can breakdown FIBRIN and INFLAMMATORY proteins. When you have an endometriosis lesion, it bleeds out and sheds tissue with every menstrual bleed. The body reacts to this event as an injury - it causes INFLAMMATION that triggers the immune system which responds with a protein called FIBRIN. FIBRIN is a sticky mesh-like protein. Think of it as scaffolding or a spiders web. It’s there to protect the injury site and promote healing. With endo, because of the repetitive “injuries” from lesions with each cycle, fibrin production persists and overtime, gets replaced with collagen. Collagen is the material that forms PERMANENT SCAR TISSUE. When you have surgery, the body responds in a similar fashion - as a one-off event (not repeatedly as with endo). This explains why we also get scar tissue post-op. It’s the body’s way of healing after an injury. How can SERRAPEPTASE help with scar tissue? Theoretically, it cleans up the inflammatory debris resulting from active endometriotic lesions by clearing up FIBRIN and clearing the INFLAMMATORY CHEMICALS around scar tissue. Potential outcomes - reduced localised inflammation, improved scar tissue permeability and reduced tissue density MEANING - scar tissue becomes more mobile and flexible. This could result in some adhesion-associated symptom relief: less pain, swelling and tightness. NOTE. Serrpeptase does NOT dissolve collagen and will not affect fully matured scar tissue.
