Eyewitnesses reported fires, including at the Luch thermal power plant, as well as power outages and interruptions to the water supply following the overnight attack from Ukraine, Russian outlet Astra reported on Telegram channel. Local social media channels also published footage of the fire at the city's thermal power plant. The Belgorod Region Water Utility reported on Friday evening that power had been cut to water supply facilities. Acting Governor Alexander Shuvaev said that there were no casualties as a result of the strike. However, he acknowledged that infrastructure facilities had been damaged, with disruptions to electricity and water supplies. Several infrastructure sites also caught fire.
