The OSINT project Exilenova+ has published exclusive satellite images of the aftermath of the strike by Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles, which yesterday blew up a critical Russian military-industrial complex – the Titan-Barrikady plant in Volgograd. Three missiles with a total payload of 3 tons of explosives crashed through the roof and exploded inside the workshops. To give you an idea of the scale, the hole in the roof of one of the workshops is about 85 meters wide. The images show direct hits: the scale of the damage indicates that the strike hit several key workshops. According to satellite imagery analysis, Workshop No. 2 and the main production building of Workshop No. 38 sustained significant damage . Inside the destroyed workshop No. 38 were heavy cranes, high-tech machine tools, including Japanese Fanuc CNCs, and assembly lines for the final production cycle of launchers. Volgograd Region Governor Andrei Bocharov confirmed damage to industrial facilities in Volgograd's Krasnooktyabrsky District. According to official Russian authorities, the strike killed one person and injured 11 others. The Titan-Barrikady plant is part of Roscosmos and is a full-cycle enterprise. It produces self-propelled launchers and transport-loading vehicles for the Iskander-M missile system, as well as the Yars and Topol-M strategic missile systems. The strike is significant not only because of the Flamingo missiles' range and accuracy. Ukraine has already demonstrated its ability to target facilities without which Russia increasingly struggles to produce and maintain key missile systems. Bloomberg reports that Ukraine has significantly expanded the range and intensity of its missile strikes on Russian territory. According to the agency, Ukrainian missiles are now capable of striking targets across almost half of Russian territory. In May, Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missiles traveled over 1,500 km for the first time and struck a plant in Cheboksary. Ukraine later reported long-range strikes against Russian military and industrial facilities. "This marks a significant breakthrough in Ukraine's long-range strike campaign… Flamingo cruise missiles allow for strikes deep into Russian territory using large-caliber warheads," said Douglas Barry, a senior fellow at the International Institute for Strategic Studies. Barry believes that such strikes should increase pressure on the Kremlin, but it's unclear whether this will make Putin more willing to negotiate. This is already a new reality for Russia: the war the Kremlin tried to keep at arm's length is increasingly spreading deeper into the country. The Wall Street Journal reports that fuel shortages across Russia have become a new political challenge for Putin and his regime. Due to Ukraine's attacks on Russian oil refineries, the effects of the war are increasingly felt by ordinary Russians from Moscow to Siberia and the North Caucasus. Queues at petrol stations, closed stations, rationing and overnight waits are turning the fuel crisis into a social nuisance. According to Sergei Vakulenko , former head of Gazprom Neft's strategy department and a senior fellow at the Carnegie Berlin Center, by June 20, about 28% of Russia's oil refining capacity was out of action. "All of this is connected to the sharp increase in the number of drones Ukraine is capable of launching," he said. The problem no longer lies in logistical difficulties or market imbalances, Vakulenko added, "but in a physical shortage of fuel." "The crisis is already so widespread that it would be dangerous for Putin to ignore it… He would appear out of touch with reality.
