La Guerra Civil Española. Parte 1: España dividida

Divided Spain is the first episode of a documentary series dedicated to the Spanish Civil War. This episode analyzes the path that led Spain from the social, political, and economic tensions of the early 20th century to the military coup of July 1936. Through historical narrative, archival footage, reenacted testimonies, and period documents, the documentary explores the years of the Restoration, the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera, the proclamation of the Second Republic, its reforms, its internal conflicts, and the growing polarization that ultimately divided the country. This episode does not seek to assign blame or oversimplify an extremely complex period, but rather to offer a rigorous, respectful, and contextualized explanation of the events that preceded the outbreak of war. In July 1936, the partial failure of the coup did not restore normalcy to Spain.
