Geometry Interfaces :: Workspace Setup :: T-Square and Triangle

In this exercise in Architectural Representation I will cover setting up a basic work surface for learning technical drawing with a T-square and Triangle. These are simple and fundamental tools for develop skills of drafting for exploring projected geometry. This foundational interface is a great starting point since the paper and pencil provide a very stable platform for generating visual complexity and descriptive geometry before moving into more advanced tools. Stability and patience. This series is linked to the technical skills introduced in Pratt's Undergraduate Architecture first-year Representation course. We focus on the transformation of geometry by moving and tracking points in space. Points build into lines and curves that build into planes and surfaces, that describe solids and eventually forms and materials.
