GREAT BRITISH HORROR: The Sinister History of Knoll Park Children's Home (SAINT GABRIEL'S CONVENT)

Step inside Knoll Park Children's Home, a haunting structure infamously known as Saint Gabriel's Convent. This crumbling, 1800s Gothic relic in Liverpool holds an incredibly dark and sinister history. This film is a prime example of Great British Horror in cinematography and there's even a massive influence from William Friedkin's The Exorcist too—it's thought-provoking and religiously beautiful, yet deeply tragic in its connection to a sinister past. We went through the ancient, labyrinthian, pitch-black basement and into the light as if ascending to heaven. Even though the place is a rotting crumbling shell, it still had a visually holy feeling inside, even with the sinister presence. We experienced the chilling reality of this location firsthand, as we believe somebody or something was throwing things inside the abandoned halls. Beyond the beautiful decay and chilling atmosphere lies the story of a place where innocence was lost, a palpable energy that lingers in the silence. Legend holds that a spirit—perhaps Gabriel's ghost—is still condemned to wander these forgotten, oppressive rooms.
