We met a truck driver here who told us that he has been coming to this dhaba since the days when he worked as a helper. Today, even his children are married, which means he has been visiting this place for over 45 years. That alone shows how old and trusted this dhaba is among truck drivers. We ordered yellow dal, kadhi, and steamed rice. The most interesting part was the unique way they serve buttermilk, which we have shown in this video. We also spoke with the kitchen staff to learn more about their work and the history of this dhaba. Our total bill came to around ₹310–₹320. The food itself cost approximately ₹240–₹250, while the remaining amount was for buttermilk and bottled water. Overall, the food was delicious, filling, and very affordable. However, I’m still searching for a 100% traditional Indian truck dhaba where truck drivers still sit on charpoys (woven cots) and enjoy their meals the old-fashioned way.
