In Indonesia, the other names of this fruit are the Timun padang or Kemarungan fruit or Timun merah ( the red cucumber). The taste of this fruit when it's young is bitter, so I made a recipe for Stir-fried Ivy gourd. The leaves are very delicious, you can cook anything because it doesn't taste bitter at all, so I made plecing Timun padang , it is boiled ivy gourd leaves and chilli sauce on top. for the ripe fruits, we can make mocktail or juice.
