PIX11 News: $5.6 billion investment coming to NYCHA
The mayor announced a $5.6 billion investment in repairing and renovating NYCHA apartments throughout the five boroughs on Tuesday. The money will be invested over the course of five years and will be used to fund upgrades with the input of NYCHA residents. The multi-million dollar NYCHA investment comes as part of the mayor’s housing plan for the next decade, where he also announced plans to have the city build 200,000 new affordable, rent-stabilized homes in the next 10 years with a focus on housing in the Bronx.
