The family already knew their needs, having already lived in the property. Their main request was a larger, brighter kitchen, as the resident prepares meals daily. The solution was to transform the balcony into a new kitchen integrated into the living room, with an island and plenty of natural light. In the former kitchen space, a functional laundry room with a freezer and a china cabinet facing the living room was created. The project also brought overall more brightness and warmth to the spaces with light tones, wood, and touches of blue and terracotta. The children's bedrooms were redesigned with custom cabinetry, reflecting their personal styles. The couple's apartment was revamped with boiseries and a new TV panel. Most of the furniture was repurposed, and the living room painting was painted by the client's brother—a loving detail. The project took about three months to develop, and the construction itself took four months to transform the apartment into a functional, welcoming, and personality-filled home.
