Buses and minibuses in Tábor, part 1

Tábor's public transport system is unique in that it operates exclusively as a bus network, although trolleybuses were planned in the past. The city operates a fleet of fully electric buses and has become the last refuge of the iconic Ikarus 280 articulated buses, which operated there until their retirement in 2012. Special minibus lines (e.g. 60, 61 and 62) have been introduced to serve the narrow streets in the historic parts, providing connections to, for example, Čelkovice and Maredův vrch. Unique routes: Minibuses are adapted to the steep climb and specific profile of the city, which was founded as a Hussite fortress.
