Piscia di Ghjaddu Waterfall | Corsica 05 | LowCosTravellers After spending several days enjoying Corsica's beautiful beaches, we finally ventured inland. However, the weather, which had been bad inland for the past few days, hadn't completely improved, and we quickly noticed this after climbing to the Hospedale pass. Even though it was sunny along the coast, it was already cloudy and the temperature was lower up here. That said, the Hospedale pass and its reservoir make it a beautiful spot, and the low clouds only added to its mystical atmosphere. In any case, this wasn't our destination, so we continued on our way to visit Corsica's tallest waterfall, the Piscia di Ghjaddu Waterfall. From the Hospedale pass, it didn't take us long to reach the parking area for the Piscia di Ghjaddu Waterfall. There was no one collecting parking fees, which surprised us, although perhaps it was because of the time, as we arrived after 6 pm. Even so, we parked and started walking, since although it wasn't a very long route, we were starting late. The route to the waterfall, as I mentioned, is short, very easy, and comfortable, suitable for the whole family, and passes through beautiful scenery among pine forests and areas of enormous granite boulders. We reached the waterfall viewpoint, and from there, a descent leads us closer to the waterfall. This descent is more challenging, as it involves scrambling down a section of slippery rocks, so it's not recommended for everyone and should be done with great care if you decide to descend. The views of the waterfall from below are spectacular, as is the way you feel the waterfall from up there, and the roar of the water crashing against the rocks—amazing!
