The family of journalist Roxana Bernice Guzmán Ramírez received her remains for a final farewell, after authorities scientifically confirmed her murder following more than a month of searching. The funeral is being held privately in Minatitlán, Veracruz, while family, colleagues, and organizations demand justice. To date, there is no official motive for the crime. However, an unofficial version has emerged linking the case to a former partner of the journalist, who years ago was also murdered by members of organized crime. Authorities have not confirmed this line of investigation. Roxana Guzmán's family is demanding the maximum punishment for the eight people arrested, while the Attorney General's Office continues its investigation to clarify the murder.
