Let’s Restore a Classic Lionel Postwar Diesel Switcher Locomotive

Hi folks, welcome to MTS. Today we’re going to restore a Lionel classic postwar 602 Seaboard diesel switcher locomotive. This video ended up being longer than normal, as there ended up being several components that required replacement or repair. Also has to make a trip to the local train store. Replaced brushes, repaired/replaced rear coupler assembly, replaced headlight wire assembly, cleaned e-unit roller, removed and cleaned brush plate and brush retainers, and tested the horn. Got it all back together and ran it on my layout. I hope this video is able to help you out or at least offer an alternative method to keeping these classics on the rails.
