He also acknowledged that some victims were subjected to enforced disappearance and accepted that the pressure to achieve operational results, insufficient oversight, and decisions made under his command contributed to the continuation of these practices. In addition to apologizing to the victims and their families, he affirmed his commitment to continue contributing to truth, memory, reparations, and guarantees of non-repetition so that no institution will ever again prioritize military results over life and human dignity.
