Old Steam Powered Machine Shop 68 A few jobs under steam power
A look in my replica shop at how machine work might have been done with a steam powered shop in 1925. Steam is furnished by a 1924 Mundy steam hoist vertical boiler. Power is supplied by a 1902 Richards Iron Works stationary steam engine. The American Machine Tool lathe, Racine cut off saw and G&E shaper all date to 1925. Power transmitted by leather belting.
