Magnetic Fields in Current Carrying Loops and Ideal Solenoids | 19.3 General Physics
Chad provides a lesson on the Magnetic Field at the center of a Current-Carrying Loop and at the center of an Ideal Solenoid. For a current-carrying loop, the current in all segments will contribute to a magnetic field at the center of the loop that is perpendicular to the loop. Chad provides the physics formula for the magnitude of this magnetic field and presents a new right-hand rule that is used to determine the direction of this magnetic field. An ideal solenoid also has a magnetic field running through its center, and the physics formula for the magnitude of this magnetic field and presents a right-hand rule (essentially the same as that for the current-carrying loop) that is used to determine the direction of this magnetic field. The lesson concludes with solving a couple of practice problems in which the magnitude of the magnetic field is calculated at the center of a loop and at the center of an ideal solenoid. 00:00 Lesson Introduction 00:44 Magnetic Field at the Center of a Current-Carrying Loop 04:07 Magnetic Field at the Center of an Ideal Solenoid 06:15 Current-Carrying Loop and Solenoid Practice Problems Check out Chad's General Physics Master Course: https://www.chadsprep.com/physics-you... #generalphysics #physicstutorial
