In the end, Mark was charged with possession of Class I or Class II wildlife without a permit and receiving wildlife requiring a license for possession from an unlicensed entity. He later pled no contest to the possession charge and was sentenced to 6 months of probation with the option of early termination. During the probationary period, he was not permitted to have any exotic pets and had to complete 25 hours of community service. A few months later, his probation terminated. He was also ordered to pay $293.00 in costs and fines for this case. Mark was also cited for being in possession of a Class II wildlife without a license. Mark was later cited for failing to remove excreta from private property and interference with animal services representatives after refusing to allow animal services to see the living conditions of the dogs.
