We Bought a $3,500 Abandoned Case Skid Steer

We left Kevin and Jay alone at the machinery auction with a blank check, and they brought home an "investment piece"—a non-running Case 1816B Uni-Loader skid steer. The auction tag said it runs but needs carburetor work, but it wouldn't even turn over without trying to drive through the shop wall. In this video, we tackle the mechanical challenges of this vintage Case 1816B, swap out the junk carburetor with a rebuilt Kohler carb from our broken John Deere loader, and fix a clicky-clacky electric fuel pump setup. Once we get the engine chugging, we take it out for a high-stakes push-off challenge against the John Deere to see if this auction gamble will make us a profit on Facebook Marketplace or leave us in the hole.
