Despite their young age (15 months), the average height of the olive trees is already between 140 and 150 cm, with the apical tips reaching and sometimes exceeding 160 cm. Pruning and Trunk Cleaning Managing the single-axis training system requires precise interventions in the lower part of the tree. The trunk is completely cleared of suckers and lateral branches up to a height of 50–55 cm. Above this height, however, the lateral branches are left untouched, allowing the vegetation to develop freely. Tutoring Technique To ensure that the central axis grows straight, a cane is used as a support and constant tying is performed.
