Building the USS Franklin: Moebius Models 1/350 Freedom Class Starship
What's up, Plastic Addicts? In this video, we’re checking out the Moebius Models 1/350 Freedom Class USS Franklin from Star Trek: Beyond. As I mentioned in the unboxing, this kit is solid—pretty much what you’d expect from Moebius, though the fitment around the saucer rim windows could be better. I’ll be upfront: this isn’t my most detailed build video, as I didn’t document the process as thoroughly as I would’ve liked. But there’s still plenty to see! From a review standpoint, the USS Franklin is a straightforward build, and lighting it up is fairly easy. The only tricky part is routing the wiring through the nacelles. One minor letdown is the lack of spinning Bussard fans. I considered adding a motor, but since they wouldn’t counter-rotate like in the movie, I opted to keep them static.
