Glatzel & Rieser hydraulic glass elevator at Meckenheim Industriepark railway station

Usually, when elevator cabs have two entrances, with the elevator only traveling between two floors, each entrance serves one of the floors. But at this station, both entrances are used on both levels, and both elevators do this. After having been used, both entrances seem to have different door timer settings, which is strange. While the second elevator was very quiet going up, the first one had a distinctive hydraulic noise which leads me to believe that the motor rooms to both elevators may be next to it, as also suggested by the two doors in the underpass.
