Planning and retrofitting a home to EnerPHit standard
http://www.houseplanninghelp.com/ Es Tresidder explains how he's adapting his house to better serve his family's needs, making it healthier, more comfortable and energy efficient in the process. The 1975 timber frame home is fairly typical build for this part of The Highlands. Es is retrofitting the ground floor but will be completely rebuilding the first floor. He his targeting the Passivhaus retrofit standard EnerPHit for the finished renovation. This video looks at some of the work on the ground floor as Es nears the point where he'll hand over to a builder for the big structural changes on the first floor. A big thank you to Mike Coe and Lizzie Stoodley for filming this. Check out their own self build here - https://portreepassivhaus.uk/
