Ochlockonee River State Park | Deer Trails & Gulf Coast Van Camping

Part 2 of 2 Morning on the Ochlockonee River with wind and birdsong. The van ran warm overnight but a portable fan handled it. At $18 a night, the campground delivers full value with river access, trails, and a quiet site worth every dollar. Three deer within 10 feet on the trail before leaving the pavement. From there, a floating dock at the river swimming area, then out to Bald Point State Park on the Gulf of Mexico with beach, marsh, and a nature observation platform over the near by wetlands. Van life does not require a large budget. Thrift stores cover clothing needs at a fraction of retail, and taking chances on unfamiliar places is where the best experiences happen. The day ends at a new campsite with light rain.
