Diagnosis of #Endometriosis: Stephanie and her husband want a child – but no matter what they try, they just can't get pregnant! At the fertility clinic, they receive the diagnosis: Stephanie suffers from endometriosis. A chronic and extremely painful disease in which uterine lining-like tissue adheres to various organs in the body, causing inflammation and impairment – ​​and this has left Stephanie infertile! Several surgeries follow to control the endometriosis lesions – but the pain and limitations worsen. But she and her husband's desire to have children is so strong that they want to try artificial insemination anyway – unfortunately, without success! Their last hope: an #egg donation, in which a donor egg is fertilized with the sperm of Stephanie's husband, Daniel, and the resulting embryo is implanted in Stephanie's uterus. But before they can attempt this, Stephanie still has an important examination to complete: a colonoscopy will determine whether Stephanie's endometriosis lesions need to be operated on again before she can begin egg donation abroad, a procedure that is prohibited in Germany.
